Since launching the new KCKCC Suggestion Box at Convocation, we have received nearly two dozen suggestions! This is outstanding and I love to see the ideas rolling in. Often, suggestion boxes are used for people to complain and not provide such constructive criticism. I am very pleased, and honestly not surprised, that all suggestions we have received have been very constructive and written with the intent to improve what we do as a College and to better serve our students and employees. Awesome job folks!!
So the process remains very transparent and continues to utilize the great minds we have at KCKCC, suggestions will be grouped into like categories, such as instruction, student support, employee support, learning spaces, facilities and grounds, customer service and technology. The suggestions will then be shared with Presidents Extended Cabinet (PEC) that represents the president’s cabinet and leadership from each College Senate.
To maintain anonymity of suggestions, names will be removed if provided, prior to going to PEC. This will also eliminate unconscious bias or possibly uncomfortable situations where individuals may feel pressured to support a suggestion simply by who proposed it.
As one of the recent suggestions was to create an employee recognition program, this is also a perfect opportunity to meld these projects!
