This blog will provide you with quick access to up-to-date information about working in and navigating the college’s learning management system, Blackboard, as well as other supported software and services.  This blog contains information for students, faculty, and staff. We will be continually updating the blog and information as often as possible.

For faculty, this blog contains information about many topics to help instructors design and develop their online courses and online components of their on-ground courses.  For students and staff involved in training in Blackboard, this blog contains areas that will help make your Blackboard experience as successful as possible.

Where applicable, there are sub-headers for Faculty and Students.

A Training Calendar for Blackboard and other relevant trainings by OES is available in the Training tab.  To view the time, location, and session information on the training, click the calendar item.  You can also use this feature to copy the event to your calendar.  If you find a training event that you wish to attend, you can register on the training page using the provided form.

Also located in this blog are the OES Twitter feed (@KCKCCOnlineEd), the KCKCC OnlineEd curated web-news (Scoop-it), the OES YouTube subscriptions, which include informational videos from many contributors like Zoom, EdTech, and Blackboard, and system status updates for Blackboard and other LMS services. The feeds are located on the right column of the main page.

We will continue to add new content and areas to the blog, as it becomes necessary or relevant, in the OES News link along the right hand side of the page.  In this area we will provide you with important notices such as new Blackboard feature, new tools, and important information on potential global issues.
